Police arrest man, 43, and 16-year-old boy after acid attacker leans through van driver’s window and hurls liquid over him

  • A 16-year-old boy and 43-year-old man have been arrested on suspicion of GBH

A man and a teenager were arrested today after a driver said he had acid thrown in his face through the open window of his van.

Police were called to the Shinewater area of Eastbourne at around 8.35am today and held two suspects shortly afterwards on suspicion of GBH.

The victim, a man in his 40s, claims he was sitting in his van at the junction of Honeysuckle Close and Larkspur Drive when his attacker leant through the window threw a liquid was thrown over him. Read more
