Being confident is a great thing — but maybe certain people who are under public scrutiny would do well to think twice about the ways they choose to express just how much they Beliebe in themselves.
Justin Bieber is making a lot of people very angry after commenting on musician Andrew Watt’s Instagram paying tribute to Prince.
Bieber seems to take issue with the idea that Prince was the “last of the greatest living performers.” He left a comment on the post, a grammatically confusing counter: “Well not the last greatest living performer.”
Hey, Bieber could have been referencing someone besides himself. It’s possible!
While it’s true that dismissing an entire generation of musicians isn’t the most positive way to pay tribute to Prince, now is not the time to argue, Bieber.
Back in 2010, Prince gave some career advice to Bieber on The View: “The key to longevity is to learn every aspect of music that you can. I hope he does pick up an instrument and gets a new teacher.” At least Bieber knows it’s not too late to say sorry.
